I’m sorry I havent posted in a while! I have been working away but I don’t seem to be able to finish any projects, as soon as I get close to finishing I get distracted and move onto something else…. So whilst I try and get over this strange and unproductive habit I’ll show you some of the awesome books I’ve picked up recently from the library where I work:

I’ve started making earrings from fabric covered buttons, this is the first batch listed in the shop! I’m really enjoying the process and I’m planning on more embroidered ones, but making them from all my offcuts is super fun too 🙂
Earlier in December, Jen and I went to London, it was a pretty flying visit, but we did manage to visit a few awesome favourites of mine, including the Natural History Museum… And the V & A (pretty much just went around fashion and to the cafe….)
We saw The Rasmus in Camden which was… interesting…… also went to the best/oddest pub in London, I cant even remember what it was called but it was somewhere between Camden Town and Belsize Park and was covered in Christmas lights, and the landlord did a truly terrible impression of Morrisey….
We ALSO went to Hackney and bought some fantastic vintage jumpers. And all in less than 48 hours!
My fabulous Xmas haul this year included:
The rest of my time is spent frantically making 18 new cushion covers, ive actually given myself a deadline now so there is no excuse for time wasting! Im currently working on the embroidery for 2 maps of South Kensington which i sketched out ages ago (i guess unintentionally retracing my steps) :
And having shut the shops over Christmas, Ive now reopened, and on Etsy have a special January discount, valid for one month only! Use the code SUPERSHIPPING13 at the checkout to get free shipping on any of these super products and many more:
Well work has slowed down considerably since finishing with the degree, instead I have attempted to make the most of living in London for the past few weeks as I’ll be leaving very soon to live somewhere cheaper and Welsh-er.
I went to Brighton and bought a couple of maps from their rediculously awesome massive vintage shop:
I’ve decided I really like O.S maps and might start a little stitching project using these once I’ve moved into the new place….
Today I went to the Natural History Museum which, screaming children aside is probably my favourite building. Ever.
Then I went to Leadenhall Market which is also seriously pretty:
Matey Sarah Kirk is selling some paintings down there this weekend, so its definitely worth a look!
^ ^ Got these vintage from InTheOldSchoolHouse. Seriously pretty. So pretty I dont even want to use them, just stare at them.
Also tried out some dye to make my patches a bit more varied, hasnt worked properly yet…. Better just keep at it…
